March 15, 2021

CRAIG HOY invited residents and regular visitors to take part in his “Help Craig to Help Dunbar” survey.

Over 100 residents, business owners and visitors from nearby villages participated in the in -depth survey.

It’s clear that Dunbar has so much to offer those who live in or visit the town. But beyond the current Covid crisis, there are also some local issues which we need to address.

Craig says: “Dunbar is a jewel in East Lothian’s crown. We need to make sure that new housing development is sustainable. That’s why I want to take steps to control further development while enhancing Dunbar’s economy, environment and infrastructure.”

Dunbar has expanded dramatically, which is putting pressure on local services such as GPs’ surgeries. If elected as your MSP,

Craig will work to control future development, improve local infrastructure to benefit residents and ensure rural communities remain connected.

Craig has held talks with local groups about how to ensure Dunbear Park becomes a “green asset” locally, delivering skilled jobs and sustainable leisure and tourism facilities.

Craig says: “Dunbar has grown fast in recent years and this change has come at a price for the town. Future development must preserve Dunbar’s unique heritage, while leveraging in new employment opportunities, more facilities and better services.”
